Life begins at 28

Delayed gratification is not something I know very well especially when it comes to sharing an idea or thoughts I have. I was not supposed to put up something this soon but after reading the Dailies this morning I had to get this done with. A woman was shot dead while running her errands. She probably had her weekend planned or even Easter but all this was cut short by a stray bullet. Truth is I fear death. I realized though what I fear most is to die without implementing my plans or acting on something I have thought about for long so heck here goes.

Someone said life begins at 40. Whoa! 12 years to go as a slave in this mentality.

Someone else said life begins at 30. 2 more years to go!!! That is quite sometime, someone undertaking his or her masters will be graduating, a business idea would have morphed I mean so much can happen in 2 years. Oh and I will be 2 years older still wishing I had done something when I still could.

I have always loved being behind the scenes making things happen then sit back and enjoy how people get wowed.

When I turned 28 I threw caution to the wind. All this changed. I want to be in the foreground. Share what I know, be more daring and just speak my mind.

Turning 28 has been a blessing in disguise and thus far I am enjoying myself.

See you soon.

Making peace

Try being a big girl in a small world.

Now try being a big girl with big feet.

Ok now try go shopping…

Yes its a Herculean task. More often than not you will find nothing. Not really nothing but nothing that is not frumpy or drab.

Maybe I am opening the pandora’s box, but its about time. I can’t remember being a small girl, not even once and as I grow older I have learnt to make peace with my body and just love me. I have learnt to find what works for me without making someone else uncomfortable. One thing though is you can not please everyone. It is a win some lose some situation. All the same if you are comfortable with it then rock it and rock on.

I love nice things and my mum can attest to that. I love jewelry (story for another day) I guess it is because jewelry does not disappoint. I mean its one size fits all. The proof is in the pudding.
Meanwhile meet my babies here.

Well this is just the beginning, come walk with me.

See you soon.
